Description

Wasatch PeakBlend combines winter peas and Taproot Radish into a focused cool season duo built around three core objectives — nitrogen production, compaction relief, and nutrient scavenging. Simple in composition but high in impact, this legume and broadleaf pairing delivers results without complexity.

When winter peas successfully overwinter, the blend offers an added bonus. Peas that survive will flourish into spring, building additional biomass and residue right up until termination. Overwintering success comes down to fall establishment — plants need to reach 6 to 8 inches before winter sets in to reduce the risk of heaving. Too little growth leaves them exposed, but excessive fall growth can cause winterkill as well. Snow cover and the presence of a standing crop both help carry plants through the coldest months.

Taproot Radish winterkills naturally after a few nights in the mid-teens, making spring management straightforward with no additional steps needed for that component of the blend.
