Browntop Millet
Browntop Millet is a fast-establishing warm season annual that earns its place in both wildlife management and agricultural settings. It germinates in as little as five days with adequate moisture, making it one of the quickest options available for getting seed in the ground and ground cover established.
For wildlife, Browntop Millet is a top producer. Its small, abundant seed heads are highly attractive to dove, quail, turkey, pheasant, and deer, and it performs equally well in duck plots and as exotic bird feed. If you're building or maintaining a food plot program, Browntop belongs in the rotation.
On the agricultural side, Browntop works well as a cover crop or nurse grass, providing quick canopy coverage while permanent or perennial grasses establish beneath it. It performs best in well-drained soils and is untreated and non-GMO.
