Description

Kentucky Pride Crimson Clover Coated & Inoculated is an upright to semi-upright winter annual prized for its crimson blooms and strong cover crop performance. Like other crimson clovers, it builds a taproot accompanied by numerous small fibrous roots and is well adapted to cool, humid conditions — making it a reliable fit for rotations with corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, potatoes, and grain sorghum.

This Kentucky Pride selection comes pre-inoculated with a clover-specific Rhizobium, so nitrogen fixation begins as soon as the seed germinates — no separate inoculation step needed at planting. Beyond its core cover crop benefits of nitrogen production, soil building, and erosion control, Kentucky Pride Crimson Clover also makes excellent forage and grazing, giving it a dual role in both soil health programs and livestock operations.
