Clover, Berseem C & I
Berseem Clover Coated & Inoculated is a summer or winter annual legume that reliably winterkills around 20°F, making it a low-maintenance starter legume — the stand terminates on its own, minimizing spring management before your next planting.
This version comes pre-coated with a clover-specific Rhizobium inoculant, so nodulation and nitrogen fixation start working as soon as the seed germinates, without an extra inoculation step at planting. That matters here in particular: Berseem builds an impressive 6,000-10,000 lbs/A of dry matter biomass, and having the bacteria already in place from day one helps the plant capture nitrogen efficiently right through that rapid growth period, supporting both its weed-suppressing canopy and its soil-building root system.
Berseem is also a strong nitrogen scavenger, pulling up residual soil nitrogen before it can leach away, while its biomass and root growth help fight erosion and build soil structure season after season.
