Tetragain Perennial Ryegrass tillers profusely with a lower growth habit than annual ryegrass, and won't form a seed head in its first season. It's used for erosion control, sports turf, lawns, and pastures.
Compared to annual ryegrass, Tetragain is more persistent, but in the Midwest it's still less persistent than other cool-season grass species and more prone to summer slump. After its first season, it will head early under dry conditions.
