Berseem Clover Raw
Berseem Clover Raw is a summer or winter annual legume that reliably winterkills around 20°F. That predictable winterkill is actually a practical advantage: because the stand terminates on its own over winter, it minimizes spring management — no burndown or tillage needed before planting your next crop.
Berseem produces an impressive amount of biomass, typically 6,000-10,000 lbs/A of dry matter, which translates directly into strong weed suppression as the canopy and residue crowd out competition. It's also an excellent nitrogen scavenger, capturing residual soil nitrogen before it can leach away, while building soil structure and fighting erosion through root growth and ground cover.
