Robust Spring Barley
Robust Spring Barley is a fast-growing, cool-season annual grain crop used as forage or as a cover crop to improve soil quality. It quickly produces large volumes of biomass, building soil organic matter while suppressing weeds and insects and delivering excellent erosion control. Barley can also protect topsoil during drought, reclaim overworked or eroded fields, and improve soil structure and nutrient cycling as part of a cover crop mix.
