German Foxtail Millet is a fast-growing, warm season annual grass. It is highly palatable, has a much thinner stalk than Pearl Millet and can produce up to 3.5 tons of forage per acre. Palatability declines significantly with mature seed heads. It grows well in sandy to loamy soils and prefers sunny, warm, semi-arid conditions, and does not grow well in cold or overly wet conditions..
